What To Do in the First 30 Minutes

Water spreads fast — but these five steps limit the damage before we arrive.

  1. Stop the water if you safely can. Burst pipe or supply line? Turn the main water shutoff (usually near the street meter or garage wall). Can't find it? Call us and we'll talk you through it.
  2. Kill power to wet areas. If water is near outlets, appliances, or the breaker panel, switch off those breakers. Never step into standing water that could be electrified.
  3. Move what matters. Lift furniture, rugs, electronics, and important papers out of the water's path. Don't risk injury for anything replaceable.
  4. Document everything. Take phone photos and a quick video of every wet room before moving things. Your insurance adjuster will thank you — and so will we.
  5. Call us — don't wait for morning. Mold starts in 24–48 hours in Florida humidity. The call is free, the advice is free, and a crew can be rolling within the hour.
Do NOT use a household vacuum on standing water, run your HVAC to "dry things out" (it can spread mold through the ducts), or assume a room is dry because the surface feels dry — water hides inside walls and under flooring.

June through November

Built for Tampa Hurricane Season

Tampa Bay floods. Storm surge pushes water where it doesn't belong, tropical downpours overwhelm drainage in a single afternoon, and wind-driven rain finds every weak seal on your roof. We spend every hurricane season doing exactly this work — it's what we're built for.

  • Before the storm: free guidance on shutoffs, sandbag placement, and what to photograph for insurance.
  • After the storm: priority response for surge and roof-leak intrusion, with full documentation for your claim.
  • Floodwater is contaminated: we treat every storm intrusion as gray or black water — removed and disinfected, never just dried.
  • We work with adjusters: moisture maps, photos, and drying logs in the format insurance companies expect.

Questions Homeowners Ask Us Most

How fast can you get to me?

Our commitment is a 60-minute emergency response anywhere in our Tampa Bay service area, 24 hours a day. When you call, a live dispatcher answers — not a machine — and sends the nearest crew immediately.

Will my homeowner's insurance cover this?

Usually, yes — sudden and accidental water damage (burst pipes, appliance failures, storm intrusion) is typically covered. Flood damage from rising water generally requires separate flood insurance. We document everything with photos and moisture readings, and we'll work directly with your adjuster.

How long does it take for mold to grow after water damage?

In Florida's humidity, mold can start growing in 24 to 48 hours. That's why fast extraction and drying matter more here than almost anywhere else in the country.

Do I need to leave my home during the work?

Usually not. Extraction and drying equipment is loud but safe to be around. The one exception is sewage cleanup — we'll tell you honestly if an area needs to stay clear until it's disinfected.
